Wrexham Glyndŵr University is home to a wide variety of top-class sporting venues, providing excellent facilities for anyone who wishes to continue playing sport whilst they study - or perhaps trying something for the first time.

Sports Hall

The Sports Centre houses a 1000sq. m. hall, with a top-quality maple strip sprung floor.

The hall is overlooked by an open balcony and an enclosed spectator area on the first floor. The facility complies with national competition standards for badminton, netball, basketball, volleyball and futsal.

We also have provision for table tennis and matting for martial arts.

Fitness Suite

Our Fitness Suite is open to students, staff and community users with trained staff on-hand to offer support and advice when required.

It has a cardio room including bikes, treadmills, cross trainer and rowers and a weights room with resistance equipment including an Olympic bar and a selection of free weights.

Personal Trainers

Wrexham Glyndŵr University Sport’s personal trainer session is a method of exercise via one-to-one session depending on the wants and needs of the client.

The sessions are delivered by our qualified trainers with a high level of knowledge in the field of health and exercise.

These sessions are tailored specifically for the client, taking into account their ability, their goals and their lifestyle.

The benefits from the session range from:

Hockey Stadium

The Wrexham Glyndŵr University Hockey Stadium is a water-based international facility with seating for 200 spectators and floodlighting.

This exceptional facility has been host to many an international event including EuroHockey Nations Trophy (men), International Test matches, Junior Celtic Cup Tournament just to name a few.

Wrexham Glyndŵr University Hockey Stadium is also home to Wrexham Glyndŵr Hockey Club (Junior, Men & Ladies).
