Director of Finance


David joined Wrexham Glyndŵr University in March 2016 as Finance Director. He is responsible for all of the strategic financial aspects of the University and plays a key role in terms of allocation of resources, monitoring performance and reporting to the Board.   

David is a qualified accountant and member of both the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. He previously worked in local government before joining a nationally recognised consultancy firm as Director of Operations. This was followed by a five year spell as Finance Director within a technology and research private limited company.

David’s skills centre on finance and operations within both the public and private sectors. He has an extensive knowledge of the governance and control requirements of the public sector, complemented by his private sector business acumen and consulting experience.
