With Wrexham Glyndŵr University’s new online accommodation application system, applying for accommodation is quick and easy. Simply use the online system when applying for Wrexham Village accommodation.
When do I need to contact you?
If you have found your own accommodation, or if you have decided you are no longer coming to Wrexham Glyndŵr University this year, then please inform the Residential and Campus Life team of your change in circumstance on firstname.lastname@example.org. You should also contact us if the information you gave us is no longer correct, for example, if you have developed a medical problem, or if your contact information has changed.
What do you provide and what to I need to bring?
Please see below our list of what we provide and what you will need to bring with you when you move into our student accommodation in Wrexham Village. We have Sainsburys and Aldi supermarkets, Boots and PC World very close to the University, so provided you arrive during opening hours you can purchase some of the items from there.
What we provide:
Bed and mattress, cupboard, desk, chair and shelving.
Cookers, microwave, fridge, freezer and kettles.
Insurance policy for all your possessions.
TV licence (if watching in your own room).
What you need to bring:
Personal crockery, cutlery, cookware, cooking utensils, iron and ironing board if required.
Personal hand and bath towels, kitchen tea towels, dishcloths, coat hangers, toilet rolls.
Bed linen, duvet and pillow – bed packs are available to purchase.
Supply of food until you get chance to go shopping!
Can I change my accommodation?
We can only consider room moves within Wrexham Village. (remember - you will have signed a legally binding contract specifically for your room for a fixed period).
Can I change my preferences?
It may not be possible to change your preferences as your accommodation may already have been allocated. If it has not yet been allocated, we will try to do this. Please contact us with your name and your new preferences.
We will try to meet these changed preferences but it may not always be possible to do so. We also need written confirmation from you. This can be emailed to email@example.com.
What if I don't hear from you?
If you have not received a contract and you are concerned about your accommodation, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is it a problem if I am on holiday in September?
If you will be away from home for more than a week during early September, please access your email upon your return to check for your contract.
We will only hold open an offer of accommodation for 14 days (longer if you do not live in the UK). If you have not replied, we will assume that you do not want the offer and give the room to another student.
Can I bring my family to stay?
Unfortunately, our halls of residence do not include any accommodation that is suitable for families, couples or student parents. The accommodation team may be able to help with finding alternative local accommodation.
