What you will study

The course is broken down into 10 different sessions, to include one assessed session. The materials are introduced in live virtual workshops, with the opportunity for further study after each session. While there is the opportunity for workshops to be recorded, the expectation is that delegates will attempt to join all sessions and participate in the discussions.

Teaching & Assessment

The course consists of 4 assessed assignments which must be completed in order to receive the credits for the programme. These have been designed to reinforce learning and to help you develop as a professional in your chosen field and will include: a virtual group presentation, reflective assignment, leadership assignment and a continuous professional development log.

£150 standard fee / £100 for WGU staff

All course sessions will run between 9am and 1pm on the following dates, unless otherwise specified below:

13th May 2022 – Introduction session. This is a short session from 10am until 12pm.
20th May 2022 – Leadership Styles and Philosophies
27th May 2022 – Motivation and Assignment Briefing
10th June 2022 – Governance and Change Agility
17th June 2022 – Performance Management, Delegation and Group Assignment Preparation
24th June 2022 – Coaching and Influencing
1st July 2022 – Communication Styles and Continued Professional Development
8th July 2022 – Assessment day for group assignment
15th July 2022 – Resilience and Self Belief. This is a short session from 11am until 1pm. This session will also include a pre-recorded Reflective Practice module.
22nd July 2022 – Personal Brand and Programme Close / Next Steps
