What you will study

The course is broken down into 10 different sessions, to include one assessed session. The materials are introduced in live virtual workshops, with the opportunity for further study after each session. The sessions will follow the structure outlined below;

Monday evenings, 7-9pm (excluding school and bank holidays):

  2. Leadership styles 16/01/23
  3. Leadership Philosophies 23/01/23
  4. Motivation 30/01/23
  5. Influencing and Negotiating 06/02/23
  6. Coaching 13/02/23

    No session on 20th February due to half term

  7. Performance Management and Delegation 27/02/23
  8. Organisation Structures and Governance 06/03/23
  9. Becoming Change Agile and assign presentation groups 13/03/23
  10. CPD 20/03/23
  11. Communication styles 27/03/23
  12. Group Assignment assessment 17/04/23
  13. Reflective Practice 24/04/23
  14. Resilience and Confidence 08/05/23
  15. Personal Brand 15/05/23
  16. Close out Session 22/05/23

Teaching & Assessment

The course consists of 4 assessed assignments which must be completed in order to receive the credits for the programme. These have been designed to reinforce learning and to help you develop as a professional in your chosen field and will include the following:

Assignment 1 Leadership essay 30th April 2023

Assignment 2 Group assignment 17th April 2023

Assignments 3 and 4 (CPD log and reflective statement) 30th June 2023

£150 standard fee / £100 for WGU staff
