What you will study

This course will cover the following units:

Unit 1: The demands of professional soccer: Physiological costs of the game
Unit 2: Developing Resilience in Soccer: Mental Skill Development
Unit 3: Game model building & development: Reinterpreting Tactical Periodisation
Unit 4: Injury reduction strategies in professional soccer
Unit 5: Leadership and Culture for High Performance Soccer
Unit 6: Current trends in leading European soccer teams: In-Possession
Unit 7: Soccer nutrition & the role of the nutritionist
Unit 8: Competitive soccer training microcycle: Structure & justification

Students will complete 16 hours of online study, approximately 12 hours of interactive online tasks and around 6 hours of independent learning. Students will also arrange 2 online meetings with the course leader in order to complete this course.

Teaching & Assessment

The assessment will be in the form of a multiple choice questionnaire and students will need to achieve 80% or higher to pass.
