Bywgraffiad

Mae Joanne yn Brif Ddarlithydd ac Arweinydd Proffesiynol gyda llawer o brofiad yn gweithio ym maes addysg uwch. Mae ganddi sgiliau dylunio ymchwil, darlithio (pynciau: Arfer Clinigol Uwch, arfer proffesiynol a dulliau ymchwil), a datblygu’r cwricwlwm.

Mae agwedd Dr Pike tuag at addysgu a dysgu yn gefnogol ac annogol ac mae hi'n dweud:

"Does dim gwell na chefnogi myfyrwyr i gyflawni eu gradd Meistr. Mae myfyrwyr fel arfer yn dod atom yn gweithio llawn amser mewn swyddi lle mae straen a'r galw arnynt yn uchel iawn, a gallent amau eu gallu. Rydym yn helpu ac annog hwy ar eu siwrne academaidd drwy'r cwrs i gyflawni eu nod, a dyna beth sy'n fy nghael o'r gwely bob bore."

Mae ymchwil yn bwysig ar gyfer datblygu arfer proffesiynol, ac un o brif ddiddordebau Joanne yw ysbrydolrwydd a’i fynegiant mewn gofal nyrsio, y bu’n ei ymchwilio ers 2009. Yn fwy diweddar mae wedi bod yn gweithio gyda chydweithwyr Cyfrifiadura yn yr Is-adran Celfyddydau, Gwyddoniaeth a Thechnoleg yn archwilio effaith companoteg (anifeiliaid anwes sy’n robotiaid) ar lesiant, ar gyfer pobl gyda dementia.
