Academic Entry Requirements

For entry onto the first year of our three year degree programmes, we would look for an overall grade of 17/20 or above from the Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Apolytirion of Geniko Lykeio - previously the Eniaio Lykeio). Depending on the course you’re applying for, we may also require individual scores of 17 in specific subject areas. Please contact us for more details about what subjects we look for in these cases. We will consider the Apolytirion of Geniko Lykeio with or without the panhellenic examinations.

If you have the Certificate of Access (Vevaiosi Prosvasis), then we will also take this into account when considering your application.

If you have a score of 12-16 in the Apolytirion, then you may be considered for entry onto one of our four year (including foundation year) programmes. We will also welcome applications from those studying the Network Foundation Programme, with an overall score of 60% onto a foundation year. Please contact us for more information on your individual circumstances.

For taught postgraduate study, the Ptychion (Bachelor degree) awarded by an AEI is an acceptable qualification for entry. We would look for a grade of 6.5 or above, but will also consider applications from those with a 6.0 grade.

For all levels of study, we’d also look for evidence of your English language ability. If you’ve taken an IELTS test, we’d look for:

  • Undergraduate – 6.0 overall, with no band below 6.0. An individual band score of 0.5 below this required total may be considered. Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 26 points or more will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor degree courses
  • Postgraduate – 6.5 overall with no band below 6.5. An individual band score of 0.5 below this required total may be considered.

If you’ve taken another approved English language test please contact us.
