“People living with dementia often suffer from stigma and other barriers to participation, due to inaccessible environments, thereby promoting a 'stay-at-home' mind-set. Tourism could have a key role in the wellbeing of people living with dementia, as well as those around them. This project focuses on the role of destinations and hospitality service providers (including visitor attractions, hotels and restaurants) in creating dementia-friendly tourism. ”

“To understand what training needs artists working in healthcare require, firstly we must understand how their practice functions within this setting. To do this, my research has adopted qualitative research methods, through semi-structured interviews and ethnographic observations with artists working in the field, subsequently analysing the data through grounded theory and thematic analysis. ”
