Caroline worked as a Probation Officer and Youth Justice worker for ten years before joining the Criminal Justice team at its inception in 2002. She has recently undertaken funded research examining homelessness in Wrexham. Caroline is nearing completion of her PhD which also focusses on homelessness.

Caroline was a joint representative for Wales on the Five Nations Steering Group for the biennial conference on Children, Young People and Crime in the United Kingdom and Ireland between 2006 and 2012. Caroline is a member of the Welsh Centre for Crime and Justice, National Association of Youth Justice and Howard League for Penal Reform, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Caroline’s current research and teaching interests include social inclusion, youth justice, the Welsh context and homelessness.
