Senior Lecturer in Social Studies


David qualified as a Social Worker via the MSW/CQSW at University of York in 1986. The bulk of his post qualifying experience has been in social work and social care workforce development across North East Wales and North West England working within local government, HEIs or as a freelance mentor.

In the latter role, David developed expertise in supporting learners at undergraduate, masters and post qualifying level who were at risk of failing or not completing awards.

Before joining Wrexham Glyndŵr University as a Senior Lecturer in early 2012, David taught on University of Chester’s Social Work BA, MA and Step Up To Social Work programmes. His key role within the teaching team is supporting Practice Based Learning.
