Louise qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2008 following completion of the postgraduate diploma in Occupational Therapy from Bangor University.
Prior to qualification she had worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery, which sparked her interest in working with people with physical disabilities.
Louise has had a varied career since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist working for the private sector, local authority, charitable services and the NHS. She enjoys specialist roles where she can really develop her skills with a particular client group, and as a result, she has experience with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, specialist seating, assistive technology and prosthetics.
Louise is currently working part-time as a Specialist Occupational Therapist in Prosthetics Rehabilitation, alongside her lecturing role.
In her free time she enjoys being in the great outdoors either running, swimming or going on adventures with her little boy.
