Senior Lecturer In Engineering (Advanced Materials and Testing)

After completing a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Chernihiv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine) Nataliia was awarded a fully sponsored International Studentship in MSc Manufacturing at Wrexham Glyndŵr University, 2012. Her MSc research involved manufacturing carbon nanotubes composites for aerospace applications. She presented her research at the international conference and published a review paper.

She completed a PhD in Composite Materials titled ‘Cure kinetics of epoxy nanocomposites during conventional and microwave cure for aerospace applications’. Nataliia studied cure kinetics of novel epoxy nanocomposites (reinforced with carbon nanotubes) using different curing techniques.

Nataliia has worked on EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub with Prof Richard Day, on the Hub funded Feasibility study "Microwave in line heating to address the challenges of high rate deposition". https://cimcomp.ac.uk/research/microwave-in-line-heating-to-address-the-challenges-of-high-rate-deposition/

Before becoming a Lecturer at the University she worked as ASTUTE (Advanced Sustainable Manufacturing Technologies) Project Officer to adopt more advanced manufacturing technologies into Welsh manufacturing. Nataliia has worked with a number of manufacturing enterprises (SMEs) across Convergence Area in Wales.

Nataliia is a Programme Leader for MSc Composite Materials Engineering.

She is a member of WES Women’s Engineering Society, and actively supports STEM events for girls and women who want to study and pursue careers in STEM.
