Maya is an international student studying Aeronautical & Mechaniclal Engineering and is a participant on the summer school programme at Wrexham Glyndŵr University.

Why did you choose to study at WGU?

I chose to spend my Erasmus year at Wrexham Glyndŵr University because of its Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering programme. For a long time, I have wanted to work in the aeronautical or aerospace industry. For me, it was a great opportunity to have a first impression of that field.

How do you find the support here?

The student support at the University is very well developed. The University offers frequent training sessions for different skills. And due to the open-door policy, it is easier to ask a teacher for help or advice when needed.

What would you say to students thinking of coming to study at WGU?

If you have the occasion to come to Wrexham Glyndŵr University, you have to take your chance. For an international student, it’s an experience during which you will improve your language skills and acquire knowledge in the domain you like.
